Whilst I play the memories of the 60's David Young reminisces his memories of two Aussie friends Rolf Harris and Ted Falcon Barker. Our interview with Sam Talifiero last week turned out to be a great success, thanks also go to Sam for putting the word out on his own blog dealing with Development and investment in Panama. Sunday Night at the Metropolis 18th March 2007

The first half of todays program is taken up with an interview with Sam Talifiero. Sam is the developer of " Valle Escondido" in Boquete in the province of Chiriqui, and also promotes "Los Molinos". We talk to Sam as we walk about Valle Esondido and ask him not just about his own developments but opinions on the development of real estate in Panama in general.
Next week we have back in the studio David Young with another "Bio" on this time an Aussie well known for his digeree do as well as his painting. Coming up the following weeks an interview with Joseph Salterio, CEO and President of HSBC Bank in Panama.

Well, two British Saints in one month, one more recognized than the other and David Young is in the Studio to explain why the Irish patron Saint is more Welsh than Irish.
The current news as usual even with John Mac enjoying a change of scenery up in Florida. Apologies, due to technical problems in the studio the program could not go out. We will be modifying this Sundays program and retransmitting it next Sunday live, so those of you that tune in here on the Web you will get a pretty similar program next week.
David Young gave us all an abridged history of Carnival which we are enjoying here in Panama this weekend and it continues until midday Wednesday.

Sunday Night at the Metropolis 11th February 2007

Back in the sixties there was a government scandal that involved two people that were born in February, find out which two in the "Profumo affair" had Feb birthdays by listening to David Young's two part piece in this weeks show. John McKendrick is up in Scotland taking exams so no letter from London but we do have a three minute history of the City of London. John Mac passes on this weeks Panama news as usual, including the $700 million contract awarded to a British company to develop the area of the old Howard air base.

Sunday Night at the Metropolis 4th Feb 07

We had a small biography on the legendary Sir Stanley Mathews who was born in February, played his last match in February and also died in February. Linking with this topic we have a couple of football orientated tracks including a mix of "You'll never walk alone" by Gerry and the Pacemakers and the KOP Choir!. Many thanks to David Young for presenting this piece.
A brief appearance from James Sebastian who presents the Friday program "Your weekend starts here" bringing in one of his tracks to play.
